Job description

HVAC Installation and Repair Technicians urgently required to install, support, and repair systems and products at a high standard to start immediately.

Rate of Pay R208 – R242 per hour in accordance to MEIBC Rate of Pay

POSITION INFO : Job Description :

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment as per job cards
• Follow all reasonable instructions and requests issued by Franchisee / Operations Manager when working at customer premises
• Conduct fault-finding to repair aircons and identify maintenance risks on equipment
• Occasionally work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required to do so by management
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training
• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions as required by management
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, product standards, and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Assist with customer queries
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order and are used properly
• Conduct thorough site clean up on completion of work at customer site
• Implement proper preparation and stock management prior to commencing work on site
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements
• Exemplify professional conduct in the correct manner and in accordance with the standards detailed in the operations manual
• Provide exceptional customer service and take due care to avoid damage to customer property

Minimum Requirements :

• Grade 12 qualification or Equivalent Technical
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an HVAC technician
• Relevant trade test (beneficial)
• Willingness to continue education in the HVAC field
• A valid driving license.
• An understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Knowledge of service, product, and installation methods
• Capacity to use discretion when examining installation instructions
• Good customer liaison and service skills
