Job summary

CA Select in Cape Town seeks a highly skilled Project Manager to lead HVAC projects from planning through delivery, ensuring quality and technical precision across installations. You will manage BOQ, procurement, site labour, and schedule, attend site meetings, issue instructions, and liaise with engineers and builders.

You will also handle variation orders, site documentation, and compile O&M manuals. A relevant PM qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree, 5–10 years in HVAC project

Qualifications

• A relevant Project Management qualification, Mechanical Engineering Degree, or a specialized Trade-related qualification.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a Project Management role within the HVAC or mechanical services sector.
• Deep technical understanding of HVAC systems, components, and their functions.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge pertaining to machines and tools.
• Proficient in reading architectural plans and understanding building contracts.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail in planning.
• A valid Driver’s License and a reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of HVAC projects, ensuring all deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
• Manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ), procurement of materials, and strict control of site labour and team scheduling.
• Facilitate site management, including meetings, issuing instructions, and liaising with engineers and builders.
• Oversee all financial project administrative tasks, including claim submissions, variation orders, approvals, and contra charges.
• Conduct onsite measurements and read technical plans to ensure accurate implementation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including as-built plans and O&M manuals.
• Identify technical solutions and manage completion of the full job scope.
