Placements24 seeks a skilled HVAC Installation Technician to join our Richards Bay team in KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead end-to-end installation, start-up, testing, and client handover for residential and commercial properties, ensuring code compliance and high-quality workmanship.
The ideal candidate is technically proficient, safety-conscious, and able to educate clients on system operation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as HVAC Installation Technician.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and best practices.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification in HVAC installation or relevant trade preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical connections.
- Start-up, testing, and balancing to ensure energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret diagrams, installation manuals, and building codes.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Educate clients on operation and basic maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe work site and follow safety regulations.
