Job summary

Smart4 Energy in Cape Town seeks a Senior People Business Partner to support its workforce strategy, focusing on Employee and Industrial Relations. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role spans strategic and operational HR across the business in the Western Cape.

You will partner with leadership, lead ER/IR activities, drive performance management, and oversee end-to-end recruitment while ensuring compliance with SA labour laws and advancing EE and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' HR Generalist / HR Business Partner experience.
• Strong, hands-on Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience.
• Sound knowledge of South African employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership and employees across the business on all HR matters.
• Lead and manage Employee and Industrial Relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Drive effective performance management across the organization.
• Manage and support end-to-end recruitment.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
• Drive Employment Equity, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
• Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and processes.

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering?

Our client is a leading multinational renewable energy company delivering large-scale wind and solar projects across multiple markets. They are looking for a Senior People Business Partner to join their Cape Town team and play a key role in supporting their people strategy and business objectives.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will provide strategic and operational HR support across the business, with a particular focus on Employee and Industrial Relations.

Position: Senior People Business Partner

Location: Western Cape, Cape Town
