Job description

WEPM - Workplace Ethics and People Management Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa is seeking a professional and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join a Financial Services team.

The role involves leading HR activities, driving positive employee experience, and championing company values and culture. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of HR tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to:

  1. Administering employee payroll, benefits, and leave.
  2. Crafting HR policies when required.
  3. Acting as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics.
  4. Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  5. Conducting employee onboarding and helping organize training & development initiatives.
  6. Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave and compensation and resolving any issues that may arise.
  7. Assisting in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  8. Implementing & managing KPI's.
  9. Maintaining employee files and records in electronic format.
  10. Responsible for monthly payroll for employees.
  11. IR, ER, and Discipline management.

Education and Experience:

  1. Undergraduate degree in (BA, BCom, BSc) in Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. Honours Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or Human Resources.
  3. 4-5 years HR Generalist experience.
  4. Working experience in financial services, and or insurance is advantageous.
  5. Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  6. Sound knowledge of all applicable South African Employment and Labour laws.
  7. Aptitude in problem-solving, with a results-driven approach.
  8. Demonstrate conscientiousness, energy, drive, and tenacity.
  9. Discretion, honesty, and integrity.
  10. Ability to work under pressure.
  11. People and team oriented.
  12. Rule following and organised.
  13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
