Job description

Job Title : Human Resources Data Analyst

Location : Johannesburg, South Africa

Salary : R25,000 per month

Contract Type : 3-Month Contract

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Data Analyst to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to support strategic HR decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collect, process, and analyse HR data related to workforce demographics, performance, recruitment, retention, and other key HR metrics.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and regular reports to inform business decisions.
  • Support the HR team with data-driven insights and ad hoc data requests.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across HR systems and reports.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement within HR data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline data processes and reporting tools.

Requirements :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a data analysis role, ideally within an HR or people analytics function.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel; experience with HRIS systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present clear findings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
