Is responsible for translation and effective execution of GROUP People strategy by driving Cluster/Divisions initiatives that embed future fit talent, performance, culture and organisational design practices. The role is also expected to ensure consistent end-to-end HRBP service delivery for a business unit (Cluster of Divisions) and champion the improvement of HR Capability to deliver within their business unit.

Responsibilities
- STRATEGY ALIGNMENT: Contribute to the execution of the business plan through the creation (where appropriate) and implementation of the Cluster-specific people strategies that attract, develop and retain employees. Assess current HR practices and programmes for relevance and impact, and determine whether to continue, amend, or discontinue them, as well as identify new HR initiatives required.
- LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Lead, develop, and manage the entire HRBP service offering and team within the Cluster/Division. Demonstrate competent, respectful, and ethical leadership for the team and function. Champion periodic assessment of team and functional performance across the Cluster/Division.
- BUSINESS OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: Shape leadership behaviours through defined values, management styles, and competencies. Design and implement work culture change programmes to enable optimal results. Apply understanding of the business to align talent and performance management strategies, providing consulting to HRBP colleagues.
- GOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCE: Ensure statutory requirements and processes (e.g., Labour Forums, Employment Equity Forum, Skills Development Forum) are in place and functional. Implement risk management plans, identify internal risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Challenge the status quo by comparing it to an ideal or visionary state. Manage change by providing training and support, reviewing project performance, and engaging stakeholders effectively. Analyze business changes and suggest interventions to address internal and external requirements.
Qualifications
- A Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) and/or Honours Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field at NQF 8.
- Registration as an Industrial Psychologist/Psychometrist (Advantage).
- Master’s Degree in HRD/OD/Industrial Psychology or related area (Advantage).
- Ten (10) years of generalist HR experience.
- Five (5) years in a senior HRBP consulting capacity.
- Proven experience at a senior HRBP level.
- Experience leading or mentoring HRBP teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Track record of influence and enabling transformation in complex or matrixed environments.
