Human Resources Administrator
A leading security firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to join their team in Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all HR-related tasks, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and supporting recruitment and training activities.
Responsibilities
- HR Administration:
- Daily employee roll call and time and attendance tracking
- Monitoring employee attendance, absences, and overtime schedules
- Managing leave schedules and planning
- Drafting, controlling, and issuing employment contracts for fixed-term and permanent employees
- Administering payroll input functions
- Maintaining employee files and leave records
- Managing induction programs and probationary diaries
- Workman's Compensation:
- Recording, investigating, and following up on WCA case submissions
- Monitoring claims and ensuring cost control
- Reporting on claims processes
- Performance Management & Training:
- Coordinating training schedules and bookings
- Managing learnerships and apprenticeships
- Supporting employee development post-performance reviews
- Ensuring documentation accuracy in employee files
- Payroll:
- Handling monthly payroll transactions on SAGE
- Supporting employee data entry and administration
- Recruitment:
- Screening candidates for suitability and culture fit
- Sourcing, screening, and managing recruitment administration
- Scheduling interviews with department heads
- Other Duties (Ad hoc):
- Managing the Health and Safety program in line with the OHS Act
- Payroll backup support
- Arranging and managing medical testing for employees
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12
- Knowledge of transport and logistics industry legislation
- Experience with payroll, HR administration, and recruitment processes
- Experience in the security industry is advantageous
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans; additional languages are a plus
- Own transport
