Job summary

One&Only Cape Town is seeking a HR Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. You will maintain employee records, ensure legal compliance, and deliver professional HR services while upholding One&Only values and a positive employee experience.

The role covers HR administration, onboarding, lifecycle records, compliance, and communication. A Diploma or Bachelor’s in HR with 2+ years hospitality HR experience is preferred; strong English,

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years HR experience, preferably in hospitality or related industry.

Job Summary

Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department by coordinating HR processes, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and South African labour legislation, and delivering efficient, professional HR services while promoting One&Only's values and maintaining a positive employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

General Administration


  • Provide professional customer service to employees, guests, and visitors.

  • Maintain HR office operations, filing systems, stationery, and office equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and South African legislation.

  • Support cost-saving initiatives and report maintenance issues.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Handle telephone and email correspondence professionally.

  • Participate in training, meetings, and team events.

  • Promote One&Only's mission, values, and professional image.


Human Resources Administration


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR filing systems.

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and HR team.

  • Prepare HR correspondence, reports, letters, memorandums, and forms.

  • Issue employee documents such as employment, bank, and reference letters.

  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and ensure outstanding documentation is completed.

  • Monitor probation reviews and contract renewals with department managers.

  • Screen employee enquiries and direct them to the appropriate HR representative.

  • Record minutes for meetings and manage HR communications, notice boards, and newsletters.

  • Assist with BBBEE reporting and HR compliance activities.

  • Support employee orientation, transport arrangements, and HR-related projects.

  • Maintain purchasing records and requisitions for the department.

  • Assist with Industrial Relations queries and remain updated on labour legislation.
