What We Are Looking For
The Human Resource Business Partner will be responsible for providing value-adding integrated human resource support to the sites that contributes to the achievement of the overall strategic business objectives.
The incumbent will provide expert support in areas such as recruitment, talent management, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, operations and other HR related matters.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :
Conduct interviews and process hiring-related paperwork (venue, travel & documentation, interview packs, MIE checks).
Responsible for onboarding and offboarding processes.
Prepare monthly reports on staff movement.
Monitor and report on HR metrics.
Draft employment contracts in collaboration with the Compensation and Benefits Department.
Assist line management in identifying skills gaps and training needs in line with relevant legislation (BBBEE and Skills Development Acts).
Guide line managers on succession planning and implement targeted interventions for identified successors.
Assist Line Management with performance contracting and Individual Development Plans.
Implement relevant training as per Individual Development Plans.
Assist line management in the performance review process and support performance improvement plans.
Provide coaching to employees for job performance and career development.
Assist operational line management in continuous development initiatives.
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
Guide line management to ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.
Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with policy and legislation, including drafting relevant documentation.
Mediate workplace conflicts and provide guidance on dispute resolution.
Communicate with labour representatives for prompt issue resolution and manage relationships with Trade Unions.
Represent the company at Dispute Resolution Centres.
Maintain employee personnel records and manage all site-related HR matters.
Maintain site organograms and administer employee benefits (medical aid, pension, sick pay, leave, timesheets, and timekeeper).
Ensure knowledge of the MIBFA process.
Implement group engagement initiatives such as Your Voice and Rheinmetall Active.
Initiate and promote diversity and inclusion programmes.
Ensure the effectiveness of Employee Assistance Programmes and liaise with on-site clinics.
Drive awareness and implement Group initiatives such as Success Factors, Skills Soft, and Health Management.
Collaborate with management to align HR strategies with Group objectives.
Participate in other HR ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial and organizational psychology, or equivalent.
At least 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role, with a minimum of 2 years as an HR Business Partner within a manufacturing environment.
Strong IR experience and a proven record within MEIBC.
Working knowledge of relevant labor laws and practices.
Proficiency in recruitment and selection best practices.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Strong administrative and report writing skills.
