Job description

Role Purpose:

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for creating an enabling environment to drive performance and employee engagement across business areas by partnering with leaders to define and implement relevant People plans.

Provide HR Business Partnering to leadership teams. Facilitate the delivery of Vodacom's strategic HR priorities by developing and executing appropriate strategies in collaboration with business leadership.

The key focus areas include organization effectiveness, talent management, and capability building, integrating the human element with technology to support sound business decisions.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

People Planning:

  • Contribute to the functional people plan aligned with Vodacom/functional strategy.
  • Drive the implementation of initiatives supporting the technology strategy.

Organization Effectiveness & Change:

  • Support and deliver change programs and OE activities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage change processes.
  • Participate in organizational reviews and manage HR metrics and budgets.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience in the telecom industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of change management, organizational planning, coaching, and labor legislation.
  • Skills in problem-solving, decision-making, analytics, negotiation, and business acumen.

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
  • Experience in organizational clarity, data integrity, efficiency, and HR policy implementation.
  • Ability to lead cultural change and support leadership in aligning to company values and policies.
  • Experience in talent management, resourcing, leadership development, and organizational capability building.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Relevant 3-year degree or diploma in HR or related fields.
  • 5-8 years of HR generalist experience, including 3 years interfacing with senior leadership in a corporate setting.
  • Post-graduate qualification is advantageous.
