Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advise and support line management on productivity, employee relations, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Align HR strategy with broader business goals.
  • Lead workforce planning and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.
  • Drive learning and development strategies and competency mapping.
  • Manage payroll inputs and employee benefits.
  • Maintain HR systems and accurate employee records.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture through HR analytics and reporting.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum undergraduate qualification in Human Resources.
  • At least 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics industry a plus).
  • Solid understanding of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Package & Remuneration

  • Salary: Approximately R500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Location: On-site in Ottery, Cape Town.
