Human Resource Assistant/ Reception Relief
R15000.00 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. General Administration
  2. Providing customer service to the company employees.
  3. Organising and maintaining personnel records.
  4. Preparing department of labour documents, letters and service certificates.
  5. Assisting payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. new appointments, movements, and terminations).
  6. Capturing of IOD cases on the department of labour's system.
  7. Responsible for ordering and managing the induction packs.
  8. Answering employees' queries about HR-related matters.
  9. Carrying out confirmations of employment.
  10. Recruitment & Selection
  11. Posting job adverts and organising resumes and job applications.
  12. Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process.
  13. Ensuring background and reference checks are completed.
  14. Preparing new employee files.
  15. Reception duties
  16. Providing information regarding products or services of the company.
  17. Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments.
  18. Providing information to callers over the telephone, answering telephone calls, and transferring to the appropriate person.
  19. Assisting visitors in filling out necessary forms.
  20. Performing basic bookkeeping and record-keeping duties.
  21. Performing data entry and filing activities as and when required.
  22. Keeping work area clean and tidy on a constant basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Proven work experience as an HR Assistant coupled with Reception experience.
  2. Experience with HR software, like SAP VIP.
  3. HR-related qualification and Office Administration qualification will be advantageous.
  4. Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).
  5. Thorough knowledge of labour law.
  6. Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  7. Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
  8. The successful candidate will be required to be a full-time reliever for our current Receptionist.
  9. Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
  10. 1-2 years similar administrative or receptionist role will be advantageous.
  11. Presentable, friendly, and energetic.
  12. Organized, responsible, and proactive.
  13. Computer literate (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  14. Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  15. Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
