HSE Site Lead — Renewable Energy Operations

Job summary

TotalEnergies Renewables Southern Africa seeks an experienced HSE professional to support day-to-day implementation of HSE and Environmental & Sustainability across SPV assets. You will act as the HSE site focal point with internal teams and contractors to ensure compliance with company rules and local laws.

You will review and draft HSE plans, promote a proactive safety culture, and coordinate audits, inspections, and incident investigations on site.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent; SACPCMP is advantageous.
• 4+ years HSE experience, preferably in renewable energy or industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of HSE regulations and standards for renewable energy projects.
• Proactive with deadlines and task completion.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• MS Project experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication.
• Willingness to travel and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day implementation of HSE and Environmental & Sustainability requirements across SPV operational assets.
• Act as the HSE site focal point with stakeholders (internal, contractor).
• Review, draft, and ensure the implementation of Contractors and Project Company HSE plans in compliance with Company Rules, local legislation, and International Standards.
• Ensure compliance of documents such as Method Statement with Risk Analysis, Emergency Response Plan, Traffic Plan, PTW, Matrix of Qualifications.
• Ensure HSE equipment compliance (PPE, tools, firefighting, vehicles, scaffolding).
• Promote a proactive HSE environment through training, audits, and communication.
