Job summary

Cinco Engineering, part of the 3C Metal Ortec Group, seeks a Safety Officer (SACPCMP) for a fixed-term contract based in Cape Town Harbour. The role focuses on promoting a safe, healthy workplace, leading safety programmes, inspections, investigations, and training across workshops and project sites to meet client and statutory obligations.

The ideal candidate holds SACPCMP registration, relevant OHS qualifications, and 2–5 years' experience, with refinery exposure preferred and a clear criminal

Qualifications

• Occupational Health and Safety qualifications as listed (SAMTRAC/NEBOSH or national diploma).
• Demonstrated ability to implement safety programmes and conduct inspections and audits.
• Experience leading incident investigations and delivering safety training.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain safe, healthy, and hygienic work environments on workshop and project sites.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and legal standards.
• Coordinate day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities and drive continual safety improvements.

Education

Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate (e.g. SAMTRAC, NEBOSH) or National Diploma in Safety Management
