Job summary

RPO Recruitment is seeking a SACPCMP Registered Health & Safety Officer to join a leading construction organisation in the Western Cape. You will oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across designated projects and enforce policies on site.

The role requires SACPCMP registration, a relevant safety degree, and strong experience in audits, incident investigations, and on-site HSE training. A competitive salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
• BSc/BA in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• SACPCMP Registration (essential).
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHACT and other legislation.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to on-site staff.
• Review and approve subcontractor HSE files.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
• Compile and submit weekly and monthly HSE reports/statistics.

Responsibilities
