Job description

Our client, a well-established construction company specializing in small to medium residential and commercial build projects, seeks to employ a qualified, SACPCMP registered Health and Safety Officer with experience in the building sector for their operation in Stellenbosch, where you will be reporting to the Health and Safety Manager.

Please note that this is NOT suited to candidates from the mining or manufacturing sector. You must have experience in the building sector, working on luxury and high-end residential projects and be SACPCMP registered.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
  1. You will have completed either SAMTRAC or a Diploma in Safety Management.
  2. 5+ years experience in fully coordinating building project sites on a regional basis.
  3. CHSO / SACPCMP registration is essential.
  4. Fall Protection Plan development and HIRA certification is also a requirement.
  5. You must have experience in toolbox talks, incident investigation, reporting, and providing HSE support to the team on site to ensure safety is prioritized.
  6. You must have hands-on experience in the building sector, specifically on luxury residential projects.
  7. You will be flexible to be site-based and have effective communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  8. A valid driver's licence is essential.
