Job description

We are looking for an experienced, professional and future-fit HRBP to join our Human Resources team to collaborate and support the Operations team in the Northern region. This role will support and execute the HR Strategy and empower stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives. This position is based in Johannesburg and the successful candidate will be required to travel extensively between stores within the Gauteng province and surrounding provinces.

Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Work in close partnership with the HR and Operations teams, in full support of the functional and operational plans for the region.
  2. Implement action plans to achieve agreed business objectives in line with Company principles and values.
  3. Actively support and contribute to the delivery of key objectives of the team.
  4. Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure the implementation of sound and fair HR practices.
  5. Conduct sound employee life cycle management practices in line with our company vision of being a #1 Employer.
  6. Ensure sound employee & employer relations management practices in line with all Labour Legislation and company policies & procedures.
  7. Act as a custodian of the company culture, values and principles in line with the company brand.
  8. Provide constant, effective and efficient administrative services through a professional approach.
  9. Drive continuous improvement, individual initiative and self-development.
  10. Execute and deliver on adhoc HR Projects, Interventions and duties.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  1. A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology or similar.
  2. Minimum of 4 years proven experience in a similar HR role is required.
  3. Preference will be given to candidates with HR experience within a Retail environment.
  4. A valid driver's license (your own car is required).
  5. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook is required.
  6. Preference will be given to candidates with an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  7. Working experience with various HR Information Systems is preferred (including payroll systems, recruitment platforms, etc.).
  8. Preference will be given to candidates with PaySpace People experience.
