Job Overview

As part of this team, you will work with the functional owners who are usually positioned in the Centres of Excellence and People Operations to ensure that all people systems and technologies are leveraged to deliver effective and cost-efficient processes.

You will be accountable for the full life cycle of technology products: requirements gathering, vendor selection, solution design and configuration, deployment, sustainment, adoption, and solution retirement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Priority setting: Understand sub-functional strategy, processes, and ways of working; align with functional owners on priorities and plans. Run requirements gathering / Joint Application Development sessions to gather new requirements.
  2. Business Case: Provide input to functional owners on business cases, specifically on product deliverables. Accurately document functional requirements specifications, clearly defining project objectives. Construct complex process models and create UML models.
  3. Solution Design: Translate functional and business requirements into technology solutions, ideally leveraging out-of-the-box processes and functionalities of preferred technology vendors (buy, configure, build). Principles include standardization, simplicity, and user-centric design.
  4. Solution Configuration: Provide input on configuration to IT Services configuration teams and support relevant testing activities.
  5. Deployment and Delivery: Collaborate with regional People Systems and Tech teams to deploy solutions based on priorities and plans set by functional owners.
  6. Sustain: Work with IT Services on solution run and maintenance according to the IT Services technology operating model.

Additional responsibilities include managing escalations as the single point of contact, ensuring solutions are integrated into the overall ERP architecture, reviewing and prioritizing releases, and supporting change management and communication activities.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Matric
  • BCom Informatics or related degree
  • 2 years experience with SuccessFactors
  • Understanding of HR principles and concepts

Advantageous Qualifications

  • 2 years HRIS support
  • 2 years experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in PL/SQL, IT, and Internet
