Job description

HR Specialist (Chinese-speaking)
Location: Boksburg, Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities
  1. Gain a deep understanding of South African labour laws, employment policies, and local cultural context.
  2. Provide HR solutions aligned with head office strategy to support local business development, ensuring both localization and compliance.
  3. Lead recruitment efforts by formulating talent acquisition strategies for South Africa.
  4. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for mid-to-senior level roles, key local positions, and service workers.
  5. Optimize recruitment channels to improve efficiency and quality.
  6. Collaborate closely with business units to understand hiring needs.
  7. Take the lead in job profiling, recruitment planning, interview assessment, and offer decision-making to ensure fast and accurate hiring.
  8. Support other HR functions in the South Africa region, including performance management, talent development, employee relations, and organizational optimization, to enhance comprehensive HR capabilities.
  9. Build and improve local recruitment policies, processes, and talent pool mechanisms.
  10. Continuously enhance the influence of the employer brand in the local market.
  11. Assist head office in promoting corporate culture within the South Africa region.
  12. Strengthen team cohesion and cultural identity, and support the rollout of key HR projects locally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Native Chinese speaker with strong English communication and writing skills.
  • Able to work in a bilingual (Chinese-English) environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR-related work experience; experience in recruitment projects is preferred.
  • Proficient in recruitment tools and processes; good coordination and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with other HR modules (employee relations, performance, training, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be a resident in South Africa with a valid work permit.
