In this position you will…

The HR People Partner serves as an HR advisor and consultant to leaders on human resources-related matters in Africa. The HR People Partner aligns HR strategies together with bolttech group approach and business goals, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. This role is both hands-on and strategic in providing HR expertise in areas such as organizational design, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and change management according to global approach.

You will be responsible for…

  • Being Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives, with a focus on regional workforce dynamics and compliance with local Labour laws in South Africa and Kenya
  • Providing guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies according to global approach
  • Leading and supporting performance management and employee development initiatives according to global approach
  • Management and resolving complex employee relations issues; conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and providing insights to improve HR practices and business outcomes.
  • Supporting managers on effective leadership, team development, and performance issues.
  • Driving change management initiatives and supporting organizational design and restructuring efforts.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and reducing company risk through proactive HR practices and policies.
  • Collaboration with centers of excellence (COEs) like compensation, benefits, and learning & development to implement HR programs according to global approach.
  • Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

You will require the following qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or consultative HR role.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, organizational change, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience working in African markets or across multiple geographies is an asset.
