Position Overview

In this position, you will serve as an HR advisor and consultant to leaders in Africa. The HR People Partner aligns HR strategies with bolttech's group approach and business goals, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

This role is both hands-on and strategic, providing HR expertise in organizational design, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and change management according to our global approach.

Responsibilities
  1. Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on regional workforce dynamics and compliance with local labor laws in South Africa and Kenya.
  2. Guide workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies in line with global standards.
  3. Lead and support performance management and employee development initiatives.
  4. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct investigations as needed.
  5. Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to improve HR practices and business outcomes.
  6. Support managers in leadership development, team building, and performance issues.
  7. Drive change management initiatives and assist with organizational design and restructuring.
  8. Ensure legal compliance and minimize company risk through proactive HR policies and practices.
  9. Collaborate with centers of excellence such as compensation, benefits, and learning & development to implement HR programs.
  10. Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner or consultative role.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and build trust.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, organizational change, and performance management.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is advantageous.
  • Experience working in African markets or multiple geographies is a plus.
