HR & Payroll Administrator
Our manufacturing client, based in New Germany, is looking for a HR & Payroll Administrator to join their HR team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Process weekly and monthly payroll.
  2. Manage attendance system and report absenteeism.
  3. Handle employee queries and payroll input information.
  4. Assist in document control for casual staff.
  5. Manage leave on payroll system accurately.
  6. Reconcile third-party payments.
  7. Process statutory declarations.
  8. Maintain / update Liberty Beneficiary Nomination.
  9. Manage employee and operational files and comply with HR calendar deadlines.
  10. Handle HR calendar and reports.
  11. Assist in various HR tasks such as staff functions and initiatives.
  12. Handle discipline and performance-related meetings.
  13. Arrange training and update training schedules.
  14. Assist in health and safety administration.
  15. Handle statutory and legislative items.
  16. Provide support in recruitment and selection processes.
  17. Assist in onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  18. Assist in HR / Payroll related projects.
  19. Procure HR consumables / office items.
  20. Maintain updated and accessible filing systems.
  21. Assist in communication with stakeholders and maintain meeting minutes.
  22. Translate and circulate notices on notice boards.
  23. Use prescribed HR / Payroll templates.
  24. Maintain a presentable workspace.
  25. Ensure proper filing and waste management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  1. Matric.
  2. Relevant Degree or Diploma.
  3. Experience in a similar role or payroll department.
  4. Knowledge of payroll systems is essential (SAGE will be preferred) / ESS / Efiling / Easyfile.
  5. Fluent in Microsoft Office with intermediate / advance level Excel is essential.
  6. Use of any Time Attendance system (Beyond Attendance) will be advantageous.
  7. Good understanding of SARS / UIF & WCA online systems and procedures.
  8. Good understanding of Bargaining Council (NBCCI) and provident fund procedures essential.
