Job description

Our client in the Automotive retail industry is seeking a dedicated and highly articulative HR Payroll Administrator to join their team.

The ideal candidate will provide essential support across all HR payroll functions, including preparing and submitting payroll inputs, verifying system updates, and ensuring compliance with payroll processes.

This role calls for someone who communicates effectively, stays composed under pressure, and thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Submit payroll data for processing and verify that requested changes are accurately implemented.
  2. Process and manage employee payroll accurately and on schedule.
  3. Verify and update payroll data, including hours worked, leave, and deductions.
  4. Ensure compliance with tax laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.
  5. Maintain payroll records and generate required reports.
  6. Resolve payroll-related queries from employees and management.
  7. Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and changes in employee information.
  8. Submit final payroll for approval and ensure timely payment distribution.
  9. Manage ESS (Employee Self-Service) profiles and system-related updates.
  10. Liaise with finance, EXCO, or banks for approvals and submissions.
  11. Assist with audits and provide payroll data as required.
  12. Support HR with related admin tasks and participate in HR projects when needed.

Requirements :

  1. 3 years of experience in a payroll administrative role.
  2. Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  3. Diploma or degree in Human Resources or Finance-related field.
  4. Possession of a valid, unendorsed driver's license.
