HR Officer - Projects - Northern Cape - (Temp)

Our Client is a large mining company based in the Northern Cape with various operations in Africa. They have a great opportunity for an HR Officer with extensive experience in mining projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver HR solutions and establish effective business partnerships
• Attract, recruit, and retain staff
• Manage Performance and Talent Development
• Handle Payroll (PAL)
• Manage Employee Relations
• Implement Change Management initiatives
• Oversee HR Administration
• Lead Project Management efforts
• Maintain Filing systems

Knowledge and Skills

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role; experience in HR within Mining or Projects departments is advantageous
• Proven experience as an HR generalist, including recruitment and performance management
• Ability to influence and get things done
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong recruitment practices knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Focus on delivering excellence and attention to detail
• Team player with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure
• Assertive, proactive, and initiative-taking
• Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary
• Efficient in completing projects without compromising quality

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or Psychology
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mining or Projects HR
• Knowledge of international labour legislation is an advantage
