Job description

Reporting to: HR Executive
Location: Maitland

A great opportunity has become available for an individual to join our HR Team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about HR and people processes and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Implementation, monitoring and reporting of the key HR Processes
  2. Partnering with the business to provide effective HR advice and support to employees
  3. Accurate application and compliance of HR processes to relevant statutory and legislative requirements

Key Job Functions
  1. Ensure company adherence to HR policies and processes
  2. Drive and support the performance management process
  3. Manage the recruitment process
  4. Facilitation of the on-boarding and induction process including updating HR records
  5. Implementation and monitoring of learnership, internship and skills programmes
  6. Co-ordination and scheduling of training interventions in accordance with the training plan and business requirements
  7. Run disciplinary hearings and facilitate warning allocations (act as the HR representative in enquiries as needed)
  8. Support disciplinary matters, performance management processes and employee grievance meetings
  9. Represent the Company at the CCMA as required
  10. Attend and support employment equity and training committee meetings
  11. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the union and/or workplace committee
  12. Execute HR improvement projects in line with driving a best practice people approach
  13. HR reporting including Training, Employment Equity, BBBEE and ad hoc HR reporting as needed
  14. Keep HR filing and administration up to date
  15. Ensure that payroll is provided with the necessary employee information
  16. Provide payroll support to managers as required

Requirements
  1. HR or relevant Diploma or Degree
  2. 5-10 years of generalist HR experience
  3. Experience with CCMA representation
  4. Experience working within a FMCG environment
  5. Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
  6. Working knowledge of HR legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA, EEA, OHSA & COIDA)
  7. Experience in submitting BBBEE, WSP & ATR and Employment Equity reports
  8. Ability to work in a pressurized environment
