INTERNAL /EXTERNAL ADVERT

Applicants are hereby invited to apply for a vacancy of HR Manager at the National Construction Incubator.

The core business of National Construction Incubator (NCI) is to develop emerging construction businesses through the infusion of technical and business administration skills so that construction SMMEs can be sustainable in the long-term, leading to significant job creation and a positive contribution to the South African economy. In order for NCI to achieve this objective the above vacancy has become available. Suitably qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. Please note incumbent will be based in NCI – Durban branch offices.

Job Grade: C2 - Paterson System; Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an HR business plan aligned with NCI's strategic direction, with key focus on the below but not limited to.
  • Efficiently manage the recruitment process to ensure the appointment of suitable candidates.
  • Develop HR-related documents such as offers of employment, letters of increase, promotion letters, counselling documents, disciplinary procedures, and all HR communications.
  • Create job descriptions, Key Performance Areas (KPAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each position as needed to support our strategic objectives.
  • Manage the performance management process and collaborate with managers to plan and implement regular performance feedback and discussions.
  • Stay informed about transformation and BBBEE legislative changes and updates, ensuring that targets are met.
  • Identify and implement training plans in line with operational needs, legislative requirements, and the organization's Skills Development Plan.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, including counselling, grievances, and disciplinary hearings, representing NCI in all CCMA hearings when necessary.
  • Identify and implement a suitable remuneration and performance management system.
