HR Manager – Employee Relations, Transformation & Assurance
The incumbent will support Employee Relations, Wellness, Assurance, and Transformation, including relevant projects. They will lead understanding, guidance, and preparation for HR assurance activities by Glencore Group HR and external audits by regulators.
The role also involves managing HR-related investigations from the Glencore Raising Concerns Program, the LIFE EHS harassment and bullying program, and reports from Whistleblowing contacts across Glencore Coal SA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review annual deliverables in your area, coordinate with stakeholders to develop plans, and monitor implementation.
- Identify training needs related to Employee Relations, Wellness, Transformation, and HR processes; coordinate sourcing and maintain relationships with service providers.
- Lead assurance activities against internal standards and external audits, assist in audit preparations, and develop action plans to address gaps.
- Manage investigations arising from raising concerns, harassment helpline, and whistleblowing reports.
- Drive initiatives on Culture Transformation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including communication efforts.
- Oversee standard terms of reference for consultative forums, coordinate meetings, and ensure follow-up actions.
- Support and advise on discipline and dispute resolution matters, representing the company at CCMA proceedings as needed.
- Review compliance with legislation, policies, standards, and agreements, ensuring controls are in place.
- Coordinate reporting on Social and Labour Plans, Employment Equity, and ensure timely reviews and submissions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7).
- A Postgraduate Qualification in Employee/Labour Relations Management or Labour Law; a Business Qualification is advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 6 years' experience as an HR Generalist, with 2 years at a D-Lower level.
- Mining experience and good knowledge of CCMA processes are advantageous.
