A leading company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all HR functions within branches. This role involves enhancing staff satisfaction, managing performance reviews, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting employee development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and a proven track record in compliance and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
Profit increase through effective HR Management
Manage HR functions within allocated branches to ensure branch satisfaction with HR services.
Staff counselling
Conduct regular counselling sessions with new staff during probation to ensure proper fit, and with staff not meeting targets in sales, production, and CSI scores.
Ensure suitable placement of staff to maximize profit, handle IR matters correctly to minimize costs, and assist with budgets and forecasts to control salary expenditure.
Performance Management
Ensure performance goals are signed off for all employees, manage deadlines for performance reviews, and mentor junior staff with proper delegation and succession planning.
Compliance and Legislation
Ensure adherence to MIBCO, BCEA, PSIRA legislations; maintain updated employee contracts and policies; conduct regular audits; distribute policies and ensure staff acknowledgment; visit branches regularly; and ensure proper charges are used in charge sheets and warnings.
Training and Development
Promote training at all levels, provide ongoing training for HR Administrators relevant to their roles.
Employment Equity
Ensure compliance with EE legislation, maintain committees, conduct quarterly meetings, keep EE files updated, and arrange necessary training.
Recruitment
Mentor recruitment staff, sign SLAs with agencies, minimize recruitment costs, utilize portals like LinkedIn and Indeed, and ensure adherence to recruitment policies.
Performance management of HR staff
Discipline staff as per procedures, approve leave forms, and conduct performance discussions as needed.
