Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Minimum 7-10 years HR Experience and exposure to Blue Collar and Business Processes
  2. Strong knowledge and proved experience in Industrial Relations
  3. Strong Knowledge and experience in the Tech and Industrial HR Field
  4. Must be able to lead projects and interact with Management at all levels
  5. Knowledge and understanding of recruitment practices
  6. Excellent Communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
  7. MUST be pedantic about attention to detail and data accuracy
  8. Must be able to self-manage (includes effectively communicating with stakeholders)
  9. Successful candidate must be able to plan, prioritise and organize effectively
  10. Ability to use initiative on projects
  11. Strong problem solving ability
  12. Ability to work and make decisions under pressure is essential
  13. Sound knowledge and understanding of Change Management (what it is and the role of HR in managing change in an organization)
  14. Ability to deal with Senior Strategic Level Management
  15. Very strong sense of urgency
  16. Able to handle conflict at various Levels
  17. Experience in leading a Team
  18. Experience in dealing within the Automotive vertical

Main Purpose of the Role:

To partner business and provide aligned and compliant Human Resources and Industrial Relations support, guidance and services to all employees, managers and support departments to increase organisational effectiveness.

Partnering with business leaders and management, driving organizational priorities and translating this into action on the ground. To align local activities to Global initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. To handle conflict which may arise in any work situation
  2. To implement the Group HR strategy through effective communication and participation at regional operational meetings
  3. To implement and maintain projects to ensure expected service delivery to the HR team, business, Centre's of Excellence and broader HR business.
  4. To provide business with the required information and reports timeously to enable them to manage the business unit effectively.
  5. To ensure sound employee relations by guiding business & managers in the use of best HR and IR practices.
  6. To ensure and drive awareness and usage of the HRIS and available Reports.
  7. To proactively identify existing and potential problem areas and trends and guide and advise management to address them.
  8. To ensure that all legislative requirements and policies are implemented and adhered to within the business unit.
  9. To serve on / run committees / meetings within HR and Business structures.
  10. Ensure effective working relationships with external HR and support pillars.
  11. Control HR costs in accordance with budget to ensure effective utilization of funds.
  12. Manage and participate in daily HR activities and administration as per the required standards.
  13. Managing and executing on HR / Business related projects.
  14. Support and execute on the Strategic goals and projects of the Business within the HR team.
  15. To ensure data accuracy on the HRIS by performing monthly audits on HR reports and actioning corrections as required.
  16. Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  17. Attending to formulating of charges, hearings, conciliations and arbitrations
  18. Attending to union matters / issues
  19. Facilitate disputes between employees and managers
