Job description

Our client, a well-established engineering manufacturing company, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to oversee the full HR function within the business.
Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Relevant HR Diploma or Degree
  • Valid Driver's License with own transport
  • Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in a similar industry
  • SDF qualification would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
  • Talent Management and Recruitment
  • Coordinate efforts between payroll, HR, and other departments to ensure smooth flow and maintenance of employee data (labour hours, overtime, leave balances, head count, etc.)
  • Maintain employee records
  • Coordinate activities of the Employment Equity Committee, including EEA2 and EEA4 reporting
  • Manage the full recruitment process
  • Handle limited duration contracts
  • Record and control leave, sick leave, and absenteeism
  • Manage terminations
  • Handle industrial relations, disciplinary hearings, procedural adherence, and disciplinary actions, including MEIBC hearings if required
  • Serve as Training and Skills Development Facilitator: track grants, coordinate Training Committee activities, develop Workskills Plan, and ensure submission of required documents to relevant bodies
  • Implement learnerships and apprenticeships
  • Update policies as per changes in Labour Law
  • Participate in ad-hoc HR projects
