Job description

As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for all the full Human Resources and payroll function.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for employee and employer welfare
  2. Effective management of Benefits (Retirement fund) and policies
  3. Conflict management which may arise in any work situation
  4. Maintain the HR strategy through effective communication and participation at operational meetings
  5. Implement and maintain projects to ensure expected service delivery to the business and operations
  6. Ensure sound employee relations by guiding business and managers in the use of best HR and IR practices.
  7. Proactively identify existing and potential problem areas and trends and guide and advise management to address them
  8. Ensure that all legislative requirements and policies are implemented and adhered to within the business.
  9. Manage and participate in daily HR activities and administration.
  10. Ensure data accuracy on the HRIS by performing monthly audits on HR reports and actioning corrections as required.
  11. On-boarding and off-boarding of employees.
  12. Coordinate and drive the full BBBEE process, including managing relations with approved 3rd party vendors.
  13. Responsible for the full recruitment process, including follow-up on all external checks necessary prior to the placement of potential candidates.
  14. Ensure timely preparation of Work Skills Plan (WSP / ATR) and Employment Equity Submissions to Dept. of Labour.
  15. Preparation of skills development documentation for TETA purposes
  16. Responsible for full monthly payroll function.
  17. Performance Management of employees, where necessary.
  18. Preparation of all HR Reports requested by our RHQ and HQ, for reporting purposes.
  19. Development of employees in terms of training / coaching
  20. Responsible for full HR administrative function
Requirements
  1. Matric
  2. HR Diploma
  3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR & Payroll
  4. Good knowledge of the BCEA and LRA
  5. Understanding of the VIP Payroll system
  6. Sound knowledge and understanding of Change Management
  7. Strong knowledge and proven experience in Industrial Relations
