Responsible for coordinating the recruitment process in line with the company’s resourcing requirements. Develop interview guides, conduct interviews, and arrange assessments.
Provide best practice input on staffing requirements.
Update role profiles in collaboration with Managers as required.
Review candidates against role profiles, shortlist accordingly, and provide suitable recommendations.
Partner with recruitment agencies for external resourcing requirements.
Utilize in-house recruitment channels such as Pnet, LinkedIn, and internal referrals.
Complete screening and panel interviews and arrange assessments as needed.
Perform relevant checks on potential candidates.
Provide appropriate feedback to all stakeholders, including candidates.
Process the offer of employment
Discuss contracts and letters of appointment with new employees to ensure understanding.
Facilitate onboarding of new employees.
Facilitate disciplinary and/or work performance sessions
Review the matter, consult appropriately, and recommend a suitable way forward.
Prepare necessary documentation and liaise with relevant stakeholders to proceed.
Ensure all matters are finalized, closed, and feedback provided.
Ensure HR representation on all IR matters aligns with disciplinary code, providing objective guidance and support.
Provide assistance and representation at the CCMA when required.
Manage the performance management process, ensuring performance plans are completed, check-in sessions held, and evaluations finalized within timelines.
Guide the team on performance-related matters.
Provide input to the job evaluation process.
Keep organizational design relevant by updating grading, role profiles, and the organogram.
Provide specialist knowledge relating to Employee Benefits.
Resolve all employee queries effectively
Escalate queries when necessary and communicate effectively throughout the process.
Offer value-adding advice to employees on workplace matters.
Ensure fair and consistent implementation of HR Policies & Procedures.
Coordinate onboarding and health and safety legislative activities.
Identify training needs and trends.
Proactively recommend training solutions.
Coordinate and review training effectiveness.
Assist in developing training materials and facilitating sessions.
Contribute to the induction process.
Manage study initiatives and support career development and talent management.
Address training queries, maintaining records and feedback documentation.
Assist with drafting communications.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to Managers.
Renew service provider contracts as needed
Manage recruitment agency contracts, ensuring fee consistency and renewal/termination before expiry.
Assist with audits.
Support HR initiatives and projects.
Implement effective change management.
Resolve staff queries empathetically, professionally, and confidentially.
Provide input to staff events and engagement activities.
Proactively review and improve processes.
Support the HR team as required.
Matric
National diploma in HR or progress towards a recognized HR qualification.
At least 4-5 years of relevant experience as an HR Generalist.
Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, OHS, and related legislation.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of payroll concepts is advantageous.
Proven good work performance is essential.
