Job description

Leading manufacturing client is looking to hire a skilled HR generalist that will be responsible for the recruitment, support and development of employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

o Relevant tertiary qualification in HR / HR

o Relevant computer software (Advance Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)

o 5 7 a manufacturing environment and / or role

o Strong in Learning and Development, Reporting, Data analytics, BBBEE systems

o Solid experience in Sage 300 People

o Strong experience with trade unions

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

o Proven experience as a HR Generalist

o Ability to multitask

o Knowledge and understanding of labour legislation

o Strong IR Skills and experience (from warning drafting to disciplinary hearings)

o Proficient in MS Office and at least intermediate level in excel

o Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (able to communicate with all levels from blue collar to white collar)

o Problem-solving aptitude

o Strong ethics and reliability

o Energetic and positive attitude

o Patience and EQ

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations :

o Guiding and assisting managers on enforcing the disciplinary code

o Coordinate all disciplinary hearings

o Support managers with investigations and case preparations

Reporting :

o Timeously collate and submit all monthly and monthly HR reports e.g. Overtime

o Collaborate with the HR Manager in the recommending and implementation of business continuous improvement solutions, based on reports and data analytics.

Talent Development

o Consolidate departmental skills audit and matrix on annual basis

o Collaborate with the Learning and Development specialist in providing talent

development advisory services

Payroll (Remuneration, Benefits, and Terminations)

o Ensure compliance with the remuneration policy.

o Support the payroll department with enforcing Bargaining Council rules.

o Ensure that all bargaining unit employees are paid accordingly.

Talent Acquisition :

o Ensure best practice internal and external recruitment processes

o Achieve recruitment costs savings goals

End-to-end Recruitment Coordination

o Draw up of Employment contracts and offers
