POSITION: Human Resources Executive
REPORTING TO: Managing Director
Hire Resolve's client is seeking to hire a Human Resources Executive to join their team in Germiston, Johannesburg. The role involves developing, aligning, and implementing a comprehensive human resources strategy that supports overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Process & Governance
- Design, document, and improve HR processes, policies, and guidelines.
- Develop and execute people-related business strategies.
- Implement and manage BBBEE scorecard compliance.
- Benchmark performance metrics against industry standards and optimize practices.
- Align HR practices with business strategy, operating models, and legal requirements.
- Facilitate communication and management of competency frameworks.
- Act as a strategic HR partner to leadership and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation including BCEA, EEA, LRA, OSHA, and NBCRFLI.
- Financial Management
- Lead HR budgeting processes and manage costs.
- Identify and report on cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage recruitment within budgets and policies.
- Control expenditure related to temporary employment services.
- People Management
- Implement strategies for talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and succession planning.
- Drive performance management and continuous feedback systems.
- Manage employee and labour relations proactively, ensuring legal compliance.
- Coordinate skills planning and annual development reporting.
- Provide HR advice and operational support to management and staff.
- Lead change management initiatives.
- Support internal communication and staff engagement strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years in a senior HR leadership role, with 3–5 years in a unionized environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; advanced PowerPoint skills; excellent business writing and communication; strong project management.
- Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, relationship builder, willing to work extended hours, clear criminal record, South African citizen.
- Preferred: Knowledge of the logistics or courier services industry.
