Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive HR data support to the HR Team, ensuring data integrity, leveraging HR data to support decisions and projects. The individual will work with the Head of Compensation & HR Controlling to track the P&B budget forecasting including headcount management, auditing, and reporting in all related systems for all African affiliates. They must have strong governance, accurate reporting, and record-keeping skills on all related data elements across the HR function. This role works with HR & Finance to ensure the integrity of the Rolling Forecast processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
HR Data Analysis
- Extract and consolidate HR data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, annual, and other reporting as required.
- Collect, clean, and analyse HR data from various sources (HRIS, payroll, performance management systems) to identify trends in employee turnover, engagement, absenteeism, productivity, and workforce demographics.
- Develop, collate & manage comprehensive dashboards and reports that present key HR and financial insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with HR and finance leadership to identify workforce trends and inform strategic workforce planning decisions.
- Analyse the cost-effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs, identifying areas for optimization.
Budget:
- Management of templates and tools required for accurate forecasting of Payroll & Benefits.
- Ensure Proxied actuals are captured onto HR Budget tool within specified deadlines.
- Proactively call out possible overspend and savings/optimization.
- Assist the HRCM in the Beyond Budget process for all Africa affiliates and ensure accuracy in reporting tool (Adaptive/Workday).
- Provide monthly reports to Finance by stipulated deadlines.
- Provide backup support to payroll function.
Compliance & Governance:
- Monthly checks of HRIS (Workday and Adaptive) to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Provide support to HR teams during yearly audits.
- Ensure all documents & records derived from his/her work are properly managed and archived for audit and reference purposes.
Key Competencies and Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- High degree of numerical literacy.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and data management capabilities.
- Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Finance.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in HR and/or Finance.
- Experience in an FMCG environment is preferable.
- Experience in Payroll and Payroll Systems.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SAGE 300, Adaptive).
- Experience in HR data management, compliance & governance.
