Job summary

The Foschini Group (TFG) is seeking a hands-on HR Consultant to provide trusted HR support and guidance to managers and staff in Gauteng. You will drive HR processes, from employee relations to wellness, engagement and reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Fluency in South African Sign Language (SASL) is a non-negotiable requirement; you must be able to communicate effectively in SASL while supporting a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• 2–3 years’ HR or similar experience.
• Cross-function HR knowledge.
• SASL fluency is non-negotiable and essential.

Responsibilities

• Advise, coach and guide managers and employees on HR processes.
• Coordinate ER matters with line managers and wellness programmes.
• Support recruitment and selection.
• Drive engagement through employee representatives and initiatives.
• Prepare monthly HR reports.
• Liaise with Fuse on queries/escalations for the business.
• Ensure HR actions are executed and investigated per objectives.

We are looking for a hands-on, people-focused and solutions-oriented HR Consultant to provide trusted HR support and guidance to managers and employees, while driving the effective delivery of HR processes and initiatives. The role will support key areas including employee relations, recruitment and selection, employee wellness, engagement and HR reporting, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT: Fluency in South African Sign Language (SASL) is required. The successful candidate must be hearing and able to sign and interpret communication in SASL effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise, coach, and guide managers and employees on HR Processes
• Support line managers in coordinating ER matters and ensure alignment with SLA, co-ordinating the delivery of wellness programmes
• Support recruitment and selection
• Driving engagement through employee representatives and various initiatives.
• Compilation of monthly HR reports.
• Liaise with the Fuse on queries/themes/escalations specific to the business
• Ensure execution/feedback/investigation of HR actions aligned to strategic objectives in the DC

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or related qualification
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in HR or a similar role
• Cross-function HR knowledge
• NON-NEGOTIABLE: Fluency in South African Sign Language (SASL), with the ability to sign and interpret communication effectively.
