Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the People and Culture Lead is a strategic business partner to the Executive and Leadership Team. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the People function across the business.
Responsibilities
- Implement HR strategy aligned with the overall business strategy in partnership with management.
- Assist management proactively in implementing HR services and processes such as Performance Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, Remuneration, etc.
- Lead specific projects supporting HR and business objectives.
- Ensure the accuracy of all employee data stored in HR information systems.
- Maintain effective record-keeping of all HR-related information.
- Provide management with insights through HR metrics analysis.
- Handle all legislative reporting requirements, including EE, BBBEE, WSP, and ATR.
- Support line management in forecasting and planning workforce needs within the approved budget.
- Promote employee engagement, feedback, and foster a positive organizational culture.
- Offer expert advice and coaching to employees and management as needed.
- Facilitate conflict resolution sessions when necessary.
- Manage employee relations cases and follow through on resolutions.
- Handle disciplinary processes end-to-end in coordination with line management and represent the employer at CCMA on assigned cases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Industrial Psychology.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior HR role.
- Proven experience in Industrial Relations, including dealings with the CCMA.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and people-related policies.
- Experience in change management and culture development.
