Job description

Purpose of the role :

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the People and Culture Lead is a strategic business partner to the Executive and Leadership Team. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the People function across the business.

Responsibilities

  1. Implementing HR strategy in line with the business strategy in partnership with management.
  2. Pro-actively assist Management with the implementation of HR services and processes within the business (Performance Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, Remuneration, etc.).
  3. Undertake specific projects in support of HR and Business.
  4. Responsible for the accuracy of all employee data hosted on the relevant HR information systems.
  5. Ensure effective record-keeping of all HR information.
  6. Provide management with insights into HR Metrics.
  7. Responsible for all Legislative Reporting and / or inputs; EE, BBBEE, WSP, and ATR.
  8. Support line management in forecasting and planning for people requirements in line with the approved budget.
  9. Facilitate and promote employee engagement and feedback and foster a positive culture.
  10. Provide expert advice and coaching to employees and line management when required.
  11. Facilitate conflict resolution sessions where necessary.
  12. Manage and follow through on Employee Relations cases.
  13. Facilitate end-to-end disciplinary processes in liaison with line management and represent the employer at CCMA on assigned cases.

Min Requirements :

  • Relevant Tertiary Education in Human Resources Management, Psychology / Industrial Psychology.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior HR role.
  • Proven experience in Industrial Relations including the CCMA.
  • Sound knowledge of labor laws and people-related policies.
  • Proven experience in change management and culture development.
