We have an excellent opportunity for a retail HR professional to join a luxury global retailer as an HR Business Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and positive team, supporting all aspects of HR including Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Employment Law. The role enables and assists the business to achieve their objectives and develop their employees. This role is based in East London

Main Responsibilities include:

  1. Support the business in formulating HR strategies, policies, and plans in all areas of HR.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to proactively address people-focused requirements in the achievement of business objectives.
  3. Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers, advising on company policies and procedures.
  4. Identify gaps, propose, and implement necessary changes to reduce risk by influencing managers to bring forward the best solutions, such as challenging organizational structures.
  5. Provide a systematic recruitment and selection service to meet the company's resourcing needs, managing the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure vacancies are filled with individuals who possess the required skills and competencies.
  6. Oversee employee relations issues (capability and performance, disciplinary issues, grievances, incapacity, and long-term sickness), supporting managers to maintain a cooperative work environment and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  7. Stay updated on employment legislation and ensure that any legislative changes are reflected in the company's policies and communicated appropriately.
  8. Act as a driver of performance improvement, fostering positive changes in people management.
  9. Coach and, where necessary, conduct training sessions with line managers on HR-related issues, including appraisals, performance management, recruitment, and selection.
  10. Manage HR projects across functions, including complex and challenging initiatives.

Person Specification:

  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in the premium/luxury retail sector in an HR capacity
  • Generalist HR professional
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage workload effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
