Job description

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • A relevant degree or diploma in either human resources or a related qual is preferred but not essential for this role.
  • The successful candidate must have Sage VIP experience.
  • Previous experience having worked within an HR payroll administrator role is essential.
  • Previous experience having worked within the plastic manufacturing or industrial manufacturing or related industries is preferred but not essential.
  • Must have excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Working closely with the HR Manager, providing support to the business on all HR processes and managing all aspects of employee payroll, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with labour laws and bargaining council agreements.
  • Processing payroll for all employees, calculating employee salaries/wages, including overtime, bonusses and deductions (PAYE, UIF, medical aid etc)
  • Processing payroll data accurately and timely through the payroll system as well as coordinating and processing employee benefits.
  • Reconciling payroll reports and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and collective agreements as well as resolving payroll queries.
  • Assisting with recruitment processes as per the standard operating procedure including job postings, candidate screening and onboarding.
  • Managing leave requesting and tracking of leave activity within the company.
  • Assisting with facilitating and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Generating payroll and hr reports to the HR Manager when needed.
