Job description

To provide HR administrative support to the Human Resources team with a specialised focus on the recruitment and skills development functions.

Key Performance Outputs

  1. Organise and maintain all employee records as well as update internal databases where needed.
  2. Prepare any employee related letters for confirmation of employment change in contract and/or acknowledgment of debt.
  3. Assist employees with general HR queries including policies and procedures. Ensure all HR related queries are dealt with within 24 hours via the HR Ticketing system.
  4. Proactively revise HR related policies annually.
  5. Assist with the collection of monthly reports for the HR team and prepare EXCO/Board pack when required.
  6. Ensure accurate HR Data and integrity thereof in terms of organograms resignations (i.e systems & Payroll).
  7. Ad hoc personal assistant duties to the Global HR Director.
  8. Assist with prescreening of certain roles and collecting all supporting documents for applicants.
  9. Assist in house recruitment team with onboarding and offboarding.
  10. Provide administrative support to Learning and Development Manager and assist with the administration of the internal Learning Management System (LMS).

Requirements

Educational / Experience

  1. Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric.
  2. 3 Year National Diploma or B Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  3. Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

Functional / Technical

  1. Working knowledge of BCEA and LRA.
  2. Working knowledge of Skills Development and Employment Equity Acts.
  3. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  4. Excellent planning organisational skills.
  5. Building and maintaining good interpersonal relationships.
  6. Detail and results orientated.
  7. Ability to act with tact and discretion.

Minimum Education / Qualification

Senior certificate / grade 12 is essential; Degree or Diploma in agriculture, horticulture, or related field preferred. Certificates in all other farming activities, e.g. irrigation, scouting, plant production.

Experience

3 - 5 years relevant farm production experience, ideally within a commercial farm setting. Preference will be given to those with experience farming Blueberries. Experience in crop production activities, from land development to harvesting and farm maintenance. Knowledge of berry or fruit crop harvesting practices.

Education

Education : Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric. 3 Year National Diploma or B Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of work experience.
