HR Administrator (JB5249)

Roodepoort, Johannesburg
R15 – 18 000 CTC per month
Permanent

Seeking a detail-oriented and professional Human Resource Administrator to join our client in Roodepoort. The successful candidate will support the effective operation of the HR department, ensuring that internal processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with best practices. This role is essential to maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment, managing HR documentation, and ensuring timely payroll inputs and compliance with employment legislation.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Human Resources (essential)
  2. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Human Resources support or administration role
  3. Proficiency in HR software (HRIS or HRMS)
  4. Strong computer literacy
  5. Solid understanding of labour laws and HR compliance
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Professional presentation and articulation
  8. Strong attention to detail and time management
  9. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources Administration:

  1. Respond to HR-related queries on an ad hoc basis
  2. Circulate weekly Time and Attendance records to managers
  3. Distribute monthly leave records to relevant managers
  4. Complete background checks prior to onboarding new hires
  5. Follow up on and collect probation reports within set timeframes
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems for HR documentation

Payroll Support:

  1. Submit payroll input information by the required deadlines
  2. Update reports after payroll is processed

Recruitment & Selection:

  1. Post job adverts on recruitment platforms
  2. Assist with interviewing processes for junior roles
  3. Draft and send welcome letters to successful candidates
  4. Send regret letters to unsuccessful applicants
  5. Keep recruitment files organised and current

Employment Equity:

  1. Ensure signed appointment letters are received and recorded
  2. Prepare for and assist with Employment Equity meetings
  3. Maintain Employment Equity documentation and file

Industrial Relations Support:

  1. Assist with preparing documentation related to disciplinary hearings and other IR matters on an ad hoc basis
