Job description

Achieving sales targets set for the territory and customer set assigned to the HPE Sales Specialist. Effectively execute business activities to support sales and incremental revenue in support of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) brand.

KPA

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  1. Identify and build relationships with all stakeholders in your assigned customers.
  2. Build a trusted advisor relationship with customers. Be the go-to person for all things HPE for your customers.
  3. Execution and ownership of business plans with partners.
  4. Drive sales activities in accordance with the business plans.
  5. Generate and maintain reports on current forecasts and pipelines.
  6. Recruit new business partners in your territory if required to meet targets.
  7. Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets set by the business.
  8. Achieve alignment with vendor revenue targets.
  9. Maintain accurate CRM records for all opportunities being managed.
  10. Manage the entire sales cycle from the time of quoting until the deal is fully paid.

Marketing Plan

  1. Forecast of marketing plan/activity for business partners.
  2. Plan and prepare specific demand generation activities per quarter based on increasing incremental business engagements.
  3. Partner events planning in conjunction with product and marketing specialists.

Enablement

  1. Attain required Vendor product sales certifications yourself.
  2. Conduct effective enablement with customers together with Brand and Product Managers.
  3. Provide updated and current information to partners on business processes, products and procedures.
  4. Conduct presentations to partners on vendor-specific products and features.
  5. Ensure that product and program updates are provided to partners.

Admin

  1. Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and notes on opportunities in the CRM system.
  2. Track your closed deals on dashboards to ensure accuracy.
  3. Ensure complete and accurate information is provided for orders and all criteria are met for a clean order.
  4. Be able to quote the products you sell yourself.

REQUIREMENTS:

Internal training associated with competencies:

  1. During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with a meticulously crafted learning map designed to seamlessly guide you through your on-the-job training experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Matric.
  2. Diploma or Degree in Business Management.
  3. Diploma or Degree in IT will be advantageous.
  4. Min 3 years’ experience working in an IT sales environment selling server and/or storage solutions.
  5. Sound knowledge of enterprise solutions in the IT distribution industry.

Workplace Requirements:

  1. Office-based role with a semi-formal dress code.
  2. Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal) for international business communication.
  3. Reliable transport to and from the office.

  1. This is a permanent position subject to a three-month probationary period.
