Job summary

MedE Recruit is seeking a HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant for a busy dental practice in Kempton Park. You will chairside assist, maintain infection control, and support everyday operations.

Requirements include private practice experience, HPCSA registration, good communication, and organisational skills. The role offers weekday hours, with every 2nd Saturday, and negotiable remuneration based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a private dental practice.
• Relevant Dental Assisting qualification.
• Active HPCSA registration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance with a patient-centred approach.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer literacy; experience with dental practice management software will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures.
• Assisting the dentist during treatments.
• Keeping the workspace clean and organised.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
• Clean, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Assist with stock control and the ordering of dental materials when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Deliver exceptional patient care while contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the practice.
