Housing Options & Assessment Officer, East London

Are you a Housing Options & Assessment Officer seeking employment in East London?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client in East London is looking to recruit a Housing Options & Assessment Officer to support during a busy period.

This role is inside of IR35.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing advice to clients on housing options such as social housing, private renting, supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention. Developing personalized housing plans with clients.
  • Implementing homelessness prevention strategies, including early intervention, mediation, financial assistance, and tenancy support. Advocating for clients to prevent eviction and find suitable housing.
  • Assessing individuals and families presenting as homeless or at risk, in line with legislation and local guidelines. Gathering information, assessing eligibility, and identifying housing options.
  • Ensuring compliance with homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, local authorities, housing associations, health services, and support agencies to coordinate support services.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes, and preparing reports on trends and service performance.
