We are looking for a passionate Housekeeping Manager to work at a manufacturing plant's guest accommodation. Focus on immaculate service and standards for important international guests. Position is Monday to Friday in Southern Suburbs.
Requirements and Skills
- At least 3 years supervisory or preferably 2 years management experience in a 5-star hotel/lodge environment.
- Matric certificate required.
- Tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Highly proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
- Budget management experience is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of Food Safety and Housekeeping standards.
- Proven track record of performance.
- Knowledge of H&S standards; previous knowledge of ISO 9001 is advantageous.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and energetic.
- Passionate about delivering excellent service.
- Team player capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage the housekeeping function and team, including coordinating housekeeping inspectors.
- Ensure site housekeeping complies with company standards.
- Procure protective clothing and necessities to ensure smooth operations meeting company standards.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers of chemicals, protective clothing, etc.
- Oversee ordering and supply of uniforms, protective clothing, and embroidered name badges.
- Conduct housekeeping inspections and record scores.
- Participate in Food Safety meetings.
- Organize teams for company functions and manage teams during events.
- Manage the housekeeping budget.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure proper housekeeping practices and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in training departmental cleaners on Food Safety and housekeeping practices.
- Purchase and control all cleaning equipment and chemicals monthly.
- Coordinate with suppliers such as pest control and chemical providers to meet standards.
- Manage pest control programs for the Cape Town site.
- Implement ISO 9001 Quality, Food Safety, and Health & Safety Systems according to operational procedures.
