Job Description

Scope of Position:

Housekeeping Attendants are responsible for performing a combination of tasks that maintain the hotel’s cleanliness. The Housekeeping Attendant contributes to a pleasant and positive guest experience that meets the established standards of the hotel.

Specific duties, responsibilities & Key performance areas

  • Know, understand, and demonstrate all Accor satisfaction standards.
  • Clean all mirrors, glasses, inside of windows, vents, and all surfaces; stock all paper supplies in restrooms and storage closets; keep all brass shiny; perform cleaning tasks that improve and maintain the Brand Standard.
  • Follow signing in and out procedures for keys.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs as needed.
  • Report all maintenance needs to the maintenance department.
  • Dust all upholstered furniture and wipe down baseboards when needed.
  • Perform all tasks using proper safety precautions.
  • Offer assistance to guests and colleagues courteously.
  • Perform routine work or the same task daily.
  • Report lost & found items to security.
  • Maintain helpful, cooperative relations with colleagues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and supplies in all public restrooms.
  • Clean all public areas, meeting rooms’ walls, and doors.
  • Replenish soap/lotion dispensers in public toilets.
  • Manage soiled linen and stock pantries with clean linen.
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Report health and safety hazards.
  • Manage linen for turndown work and overall tidying of occupied guestrooms.
  • Sign in and out master keys daily.
  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment properly.
  • Update room status reports and keep closets organized.
  • Report problems or questions to your supervisor.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
  • Attend pre-shift briefings.
  • Turndown a set number of rooms per shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
