House Manager – Private Household (Bryanston)
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee the operations of a prestigious private residence in Bryanston. This is a live-in position, with accommodation provided in a private apartment within the main residence. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day household operations and deliver exceptional service in a discreet and professional manner.
Salary : R50,000 per month (Negotiable, dependent on experience)
Location : Bryanston
Job Type : Full-time, Live-in
Travel : Primarily South Africa, occasional international travel may be required
Key Responsibilities :
Greet guests on arrival, arrange and serve welcome refreshments
Manage all daily household operations with precision and discretion
Coordinate all travel logistics, including liaising with security teams and private pilots
Reconcile and replenish household stock and inventory
Liaise with the private chef to coordinate meal schedules and preferences
Oversee dry cleaning, wardrobe maintenance, and ensure clothing is organised and presentable at all times
Maintain communication with staff across other residences to coordinate arrivals and ensure consistency in service standards
Supervise and direct domestic staff to ensure smooth and efficient household functioning
Ensure that the residence is guest-ready at all times
Requirements :
Previous experience as a House Manager, Butler, or in a similar private household role
Strong organisational and time-management skills
High attention to detail with a service-orientated approach
Discretion, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Flexibility to travel locally or internationally as required
Professional demeanour and excellent communication skills
Valid passport (or ability to obtain one quickly – assistance will be provided)
