Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Welcome, assist, and direct guests correctly in a friendly and polite way.
  2. Provide high quality customer service at all times.
  3. Check the guests in/out and take payments.
  4. Manage telephones, emails, and reservations in a prompt and professional manner.
  5. Ensure that all correspondence is recorded and filed accurately.
  6. Ensure that all bookings are guaranteed and no-show charges/late cancellation charges are applied where appropriate.
  7. Review guest special requests and ensure that they are met or exceeded.
  8. Handle problems that arise in an effective and professional manner.
  9. Work with all hotel departments to ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded.
Person Specification
Essential
  1. Experience of managing customer relations face to face and via phone.
  2. High level of spoken and written English.
  3. Customer Service Skills (e.g. face to face, telephone, email, etc.).
Desirable
  1. Proven experience in hospitality, reception, and admin or similar customer-facing role.
  2. Cash handling experience.
  3. Familiarity with Opera software.
